Kinsale, an attractive port on the south coast, known as Ireland’s “gourmet capital”, will be in festive mood for the celebration of the40^th Kinsale Gourmet Festival from 7-9 October 2016.   The Festival is hosted every autumn by Kinsale’s eleven Good Food Circlerestaurants, and is famed for fine dining in a fun, informal atmosphere.  After an afternoon chowder cook-off, to get in the mood, festival goers mingle with visiting celebrities at a champagne reception, followed by a 5-course Taste of West Cork dinner, featuring locally-sourced ingredients from sea and land, including farmhouse cheeses.
